Samuel Lee "Sam" Morris, 19, of Nashville, died tragically on Tuesday August 20, 2024.
He was born June 22, 2005 in Tifton, GA to Mark Lee Morris and Donna Rae Simmons Morris. He was the owner of C&M Land Management, a certified fitness-nutritionist and a devoted member of Abundant Life Church. He attended Berrien County Schools for years and graduated from Coffee County High School Class of 2024. Sam loved to fish, being on the water, working out, duck hunting, dogs and eating doughnuts. He was an accomplished wrestler in high school and placed at state level competitions. He had a huge heart for others, a true and loyal friend to many and really enjoyed aggravating his sisters. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother: Willene Morris; maternal grandfather: Don Simmons.
He is survived by his parents: Mark and Donna Morris of Nashville; 2 sisters: Hannah (Mitchell) Wilcox of Ludowici and Kristin (Reggie Powell) Morris of Nashville; maternal grandmother: Bonnie Simmons of Nashville; paternal grandfather: Melvin Morris of Nashville; adopted grandmother: Lucy Bailey of Nashville; 3 special nephews who called him "Uncle Sam": Stelphon, Everett and Emmett; aunts and uncles: David Simmons of Nashville, Chris and April Simmons of Nashville, Joan and Jo Catalino of Colorado Springs, CO, Margaret and Rob Valenza of Chesapeake, VA, Roho and Jennifer Morris of Nashville, Michele and Ray Garner of Nashville; special companion: Lacey Stone of Douglas; many great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday August 23, 2024 at 11 AM in the Abundant Life Church with the Rev. Eddie Tomberlin and Rev. Larry Stone officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 6 to 8 PM in the Abundant Life Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Sam Morris Wrestling Scholarship at Berrien High School or Coffee County High School.
