Sammy "Sam" Johnson, 74, of Nashville, died Monday March 2, 2015 in the Tift Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 25, 1940 in Perry, FL to the late John Johnson and the late Maerentha French. He was a retired road grader with the Berrien County Road Department and an Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife: Virdie Nell Platt Johnson; daughter: Katherine Ronell Johnson; 3 brothers: James, Richard, and Jack Johnson; step mother: Ruby Mae Johnson.
He is survived by 2 sons: Wayne (Lisa) Johnson of Nashville and Chris Johnson of Nashville; 2 grandchildren: Michael McCall and Breanna McCall; sister: Johnnie Mae Pruitt of Washington State; 3 brothers: Rocky Davis of Perry, FL, Jeff Johnson of Perry, FL and Walter Johnson of Perry, FL.
The family will honor his request for cremation. A memorial service will be held Saturday March 7, 2015 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Terron Stonecypher officiating.
