Sarah Katherine Hendley, 86, of Nashville died Monday April 20, 2020 at her residence.

She was born August 29, 1933 in Berrien County to the late George Gray and the late Allie Mathis Gray.  She was a homemaker, secretary for the Berrien County Board of Education for over 30 years and a member of Riverside Missionary Baptist Church.  She was the widow of Clifton Hendley who died March 29, 2018.  She was also preceded in death by a daughter: Janice Hendley; granddaughter: Katie Hendley; sister: Annie McNabb; three brothers: T. J., Lafon and Vernon Gray.

She is survived by two sons: David (Carolyn) Hendley of Nashville and Wayne (Carol) Hendley of Nashville; five grandchildren: Shae (David) Shepard, Leslie Montgomery, Cliff ( Mandy) Hendley, Lance (Caroline) Hendley and Lyle (Kayla) Hendley all of Nashville; eleven great grandchildren; sister: Nell Pittman of Fernandina Beach, FL.

A private graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday April 21, 2020 in Riverside Cemetery with the Rev. Kevin Stone and Rev. Jimmy Futch officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children' s Research Hospital or Riverside Missionary Baptist Church.
