Obituary

Scott Kirby James, 51, of Nashville, died Wednesday February 15, 2023 in the Langdale Hospice House.

He was born January 24, 1972 in Lowndes County to the late Roy Marvin James and the late Elizabeth Jean Connell James. He was the owner of the former James Auto Parts and was employed with the Berrien County Road Department. He attended the Nashville First Baptist Church, was a Mason and past Worshipful Master in Duncan Lodge #234 F&AM. He was a grill master and true outdoorsman.

He is survived by a daughter: Presley James of Marietta; son: Daniel James of Nashville; sister: Joni Tygart of Nashville; brother: Tony James of Lithia Springs; niece: Mackie (Taylor) Stone of Nashville; nephew: Jeff Tygart of Ray City.

Graveside funeral service will be held Monday February 20, 2023 at 11 AM in the Gaskins cemetery with the Rev. Garvie Nichols, Jr officiating and full Masonic Rites. Visitation is Sunday from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Langdale Hospice House.
