Sherwood Taft King, 83, of Nashville, died Friday, December 5, 2025, at his residence.

He was born August 30, 1942, in Berrien County to the late Aaron Taft King and the late Della Mae Limeberger King. He was a farmer, loved being on his boat, hunting and fishing. He was a member of Jacob's Well and was preceded in death by a daughter: Kim King Boyd and a son: Bruce King.

He is survived by his wife: Eva Nell Powers King of Nashville; son: Dalton (Joy) King of Valdosta; daughter: Madison King of Nashville; 2 brothers: Gerald King of Nashville and James King of Nashville; grandson: Masen; special family members; Curtis and Nelda Davis, Craig Davis, Clay (Andrea) Davis, Paula Valdez, Jackie (Brandon) Peters, Chance Davis, Sawyer Davis and Jencey Davis.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 3 PM in Jacob's Well with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey and Rev. Blair Joiner officiating. Visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the service at the church.
