Shirley Purcell, 81, of Nashville, died Thursday April 22, 2021 at her residence.

She was born October 6, 1939 in Winter Haven, FL to the late Jess Richbourg and the late Zella Mae Davis Richbourg. She retired with Danish Bakery in Lakeland, FL and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lakeland, FL. She was the widow of Donald Edward Purcell, Jr.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Darlene (Jay Harvey) Smith of Nashville and Patricia (Keith) Jackson of Lakeland, FL; 2 sons: Donald Edward Purcell III of Nashville and Darrell Purcell of Lakeland, FL; sister: Gladys Strickland of Alabama; brother: Jess Richbourg, Jr of Alabama; 4 grandchildren: Cassandra Smith, Kimberly (Bobby) Foreman, Christopher William (Toshia) Smith and Derek Purcell; 6 great grandchildren: Jacob Smith, Duncan Oliphant, Madison Oliphant, Faith Foreman, Braden Smith and Kaden Smith.

Her family will honor her request for cremation and no formal services will be held.
