Wilber Stanley Moore, 93 of Alapaha, died Saturday May 28, 2022 at Legacy Village in Tifton.

He was born December 25, 1928 in Booneville, MS to the late Bardie Moore and the late Emma Pounds Moore. He retired as the president of the former Hubert Moore Lumber Co.; faithful member of the Church of Christ in Fitzgerald and also attended the Nashville Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by a sister: Euella Farrar; 3 brothers: Floyd, Hubert and Paul Moore; grandson: Brian Rouse.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years: Sue Tennison Moore of Alapaha; 2 daughters: Angela (Richard) Rouse of Honoraville, AL and Mary (Harold) Chambers of Tifton; son: Tim (Winnie) Moore of Nashville; sister: Emma Gaye (J.C.) Adams of Fernandina Beach, FL; 6 grandchildren: Hope (Chad) Lurie, John Michael (Kellie) Moore, Andrea Brown, Kate Chambers, Keefe Moore and Randy Chambers; 9 great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter;several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 1, 2022 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home. A private interment will follow the service in Fletcher cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
