Stephen Earl "Steve" Bennett, 68, of Valdosta, died Tuesday July 29, 2025, in the Langdale Hospice House.

He was born March 21, 1957, in Hahira, GA to the late Earl Wayman Bennett and the late Lyda Jean Hughes Bennett. He was a carpenter and owner of Bennett & Son Construction.

He is survived by 2 sons: Stan Bennett of Lake Park and Buddy Bennett of Tallahassee, FL; 2 grandchildren: Brennon Bennett and Cavern Bennett; 2 sisters: Judy Gentry of Crawfordville and Emily Rutherford of Crawfordville; brother: Ken Bennett of Buckhead.

His family will honor request for cremation and no formal services will be held.
