Stephen Patrick "Steve" Carter, 61, of Nashville, died Sunday September 11, 2022 at his residence.

He was born July 22, 1961 in Gadsden, AL to the late Wayne Carter and the late Gail Higgins Cheek. He was vice president of Millenium Cabinets in Atlanta and worked with his wife at S&D Woodworks. He had a true gift for woodworking and also enjoyed cooking and making jelly.

He is survived by his wife: Deidra Herndon Carter of Nashville; 2 daughters: April Carter of Griffin and Candace (Dr. Jonathan) Wade of Nashville; 6 grandchildren: Dana Carter, Morgan Brett, Preston Smith, Avery Davis, Addie Wade and Sumter Wade; 2 brothers: Charles Carter of Jonesboro and Lee Carter of Olive Branch, MS.

His family will honor request for cremation and no formal services will be held.
