Sue Kight Avant, 79, of Nashville died Monday March 18, 2019 at her residence.

She was born November 8, 1939 in Dublin, GA to the late John Henry Kight and the late Margaret Elizabeth Barron Kight.  She was retired civil service from Moody Air Force Base as financial officer of the 479 Flying Training Command for over 20 years and was the widow of Arthur Lay Avant who died in 2007.

She is survived by 3 sons: Alan (Michelle) Avant of Nashville, Mark Avant of Nashville and Neil (Nicole) Avant of Gilbert, AZ; 7 grandchildren: Chase Padgett, Austin Avant, Christian Avant, Mason Avant, Samantha Avant, Alexis Avant and Morgan Martinez.

Funeral services will be held Friday March 22, 2019 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Norm Edwards officiating. Visitation is Thursday 6 to 8 PM.
