Tilda Sue Cornelius Lasseter, 71, of Nashville died Saturday August 8, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center.
She was born October 23, 1948 in Berrien County to the late Clarence Homer Cornelius and the late Pauline Connell Cornelius. She was a retired Pre-kindergarten teacher in Ray City and a member of Nashville First Baptist Church. She loved spending time with family and teaching children. She was preceded in death by three sisters: Maxine Tatum, Leila Jeffords and Dorothy Giddens; three brothers: Clarence Cornelius, Jr, Bennie Cornelius and Earl Cornelius.
She is survived by her husband: Henry Dwight Lasseter of Nashville; two daughters: Sue Ann (Craig) Tucker of Alapaha and Julie (Jack Cade) Tucker of Adel; son: Steve (Lori) Lasseter of Nashville: seven grandchildren: Blake Lowery, Cole Lasseter, Austin Lasseter, Reed Tucker, Garrett Tucker, Katie Tucker and Jaden Tucker; sister: Faye Simpson of Lake Butler, FL: five brothers: Rudolph Cornelius, Donald Cornelius, and David Cornelius all of Nashville, Harry Cornelius of Adel and Robert Cornelius of Thomasville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday August 12, 2020 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Stewart, Rev. Mike Bennett and Rev. Rick Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Long Bridge Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday 6-8 PM.
