Sylvia Lightsey Henderson, age 95 of Nashville, died Saturday May 21 in the Lakeland Villa. She was born October 8, 1920 to the late Leroy and Lillie Christerfer Lightsey. She was a homemaker, member of the Church of God and the widow of Benjamin Frank Henderson who died in 1988. She was also preceded in death by 2 sons: Rev. F. M. Henderson and Leonard "Shorty" Henderson; daughter, Eunive White.

She is survived by a daughter, Sheila Arnold of Ray City; son Jerry Thornton of Nashville; 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held Monday May 23, 2016 at 2 pm in the Westview Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Greer officiating. Visitation for the public will be one hour prior to the service. Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville.
