Talmadge Bradford, 85, of Nashville died August 14, 2025, at SGMC Valdosta.
He was born January 6, 1940, in Lowndes County to the late Lewis Julian Bradford and the late Georgian Joiner Bradford. He retired as a construction engineer with Georgia Department of Transportation after 32 years and also worked for Wilbur Smith Consultants. He was a veteran of the US Army and served as a paratrooper. He enjoyed working in the yard, fishing, gardening and watching sports. He was a very humble man, who loved his family and always gave to others. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Junior Bradford, Gene Bradford and Jimmy Bradford; 3 sisters: Betty Bradford, Ivalene Zalka and Lou Bryan.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Barbara Bonds Bradford of Nashville; daughter: Falisa Shae Bradford of Nashville; son: Shannon Wade Bradford of Nashville; granddaughter: Meagen Renea Bradford of Nashville; sister: Mary Lou Bennett of Stockton; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday August 16, 2025, at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
