Thelma Hood's Obituary
Thelma Hood, 71, of Adel, died Saturday April 28, 2012 at her residence.
She was born February 23, 1941 in Atkinson County to the late Huey Dupree and the late Fannie Lewis. She was a homemaker and realtor with The Hood Company. She was a member of the Nashville Church of God and was the widow of James Edward "Jim" Hood who died in 2007. She was also preceded in death by a sister: Evelyn Westberry and a grandson: Drew Brown.
She is survived by 3 daughters: Lisa (Wayne) Nix of Nashville, Angela Hood of Adel, and Gina (Ray) Bryant of Norman Park; son: Jamey (Patricia) Hood of Adel; 3 sisters: Doris Whitley of Albany, Ruth Bennett and Elzia Young both of Nashville; brother: Ed Dupree of Nashville; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 1, 2012 at 2 PM in the Nashville Church of God with the Rev. Larry Daughtry and the Rev. Scott Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Monday from 6 to 8 PM
