Thomas Lamar (Tommy) Gaskins, 67, of West Berrien Community, passed away Sunday July 28, 2019 at his residence after a lengthy illness.

He was born November 26, 1951 in Berrien County to the late Elder Thomas Lamar Gaskins and the late Louise Clark Gaskins. He was a truck driver, loved his family especially his grandchildren, he enjoyed dirt track racing and was of the Baptist faith.He was preceded in death by a brother: Joe Ed Gaskins and a step grandson: Levi Lennard.

He is survived by his son: John T. (Holly) Gaskins of West Berrien; a step daughter: Carrie (Marty) Lennard of West Berrien; 2 sisters: Vickie G. (Arthur) Gunn of Winter Haven, FL and Ruth G. (Russ) Clifford of Winter Haven, FL; 2 grandchildren: Lennix and Bryton Gaskins of West Berrien; 2 step grandchildren: Lane and Alyssa Lennard of West Berrien; nephew: Brad (Marsha) King; niece: Amanda Marshall of Milledgeville; great nieces: Tess Marshall of Milledgeville, Sheila (Jeff) Gilfillan, Allison Dattilio both of PA. A very special cousin and caregiver: Gloria Lisenby and many cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday July 31, 2019 at 3 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Arthur Gunn and Mr. Brant Lindsey officiating. Interment will be private. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Memorials are requested to Hospice of TiftArea (P.O. Drawer 747, Tifton, GA 31793) or Oaky Grove Church Cemetery Fund.
