Tina Monita Cook's Obituary
In loving memory of our mother and daughter:
Tina Monita (Ekker) Cook, 42, of Adel passed away May 6, 2014 at her residence.
Tina was born in Gainesville, FL to Johnny C. Cook and Faye Webb Cook on November 6, 1971. She is a 1990 graduate of Lowndes County High School and a member of Redland Baptist Church. She went on to earn a degree in nursing at ABAC College and a Masters Degree at Thomas University. She was employed with Brooks County Hospital for 15 years. Tina is preceded in death by her grandmother, Nita Strickland.
Tina is survived by her two children who loved her very much: Trey Ekker and Johnny Cade Ekker of Valdosta; father of her children: Chuck Ekker of Valdosta; her parents: Johnny C. Cook and Faye Cook of Lake Park; brother: Johnny W. (Angie) Cook of Lake Park; niece: Annabelle Cook; and many other uncles, aunts, cousins, and relatives who loved her very much, as well as a special cousin, Lisa, that was like a sister.
Funeral services will be held on Friday May 9, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Sandlin officiating. Interment will follow at Redland Cemetery in Valdosta at 5:00 PM with the Rev. Jay Watkins officiating. Visitation will held on Thursday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to everyone who has contributed food and prayers to the family at this time.
