Tony Marvin Giddens, 58, of Lakeland, died Tuesday January 25, 2022 at his residence.

He was born June 20, 1963 in Cook County to the late James Marvin Giddens and the late Aretha Collins Giddens. He was a former Berrien County Deputy Sheriff, investigator with the Alapaha Judicial Circuit District Attorney's Office and retired as the Chief of Police with the Lanier County Board of Education. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Earl Giddens, Frankie Giddens and Mike Giddens.

He is survived by wife: Stephanie Hand Giddens of Lakeland; 2 sisters: Debbie (David) Roe of Nashville and Kathy (Billy) Mathis of Nashville.

Funeral services will be held Saturday January 29, 2022 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Swain officiating. Interment will follow in the Gaskins cemetery. Visitation is Friday from 6 to 8 PM.
