Troy Breman Griner, Sr. Age 86, of Nashville, Ga, passed away at his residence Sunday June 23, 2024. He was born July 2, 1937 in Nashville, Georgia and was the son of the late Harvey Freeman Griner and the late Thelma Clanton Griner.

His survivors include: His beloved wife of 68 years, Donna Guest Griner; one daughter: Cheryl Griner Spikes (Tommy); one daughter-in-law: Ouida Ingram Griner; 6 grandchildren: Aaron Griner (Lindie), Hannah Griner Watson (Sammy), Lydia Griner McCurdy (Matt), Daniel Griner (Blair), Michael Spikes (Becky), Lori Spikes Brogdon (Winston); 13 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son: Troy Breman Griner, Jr. and a great-granddaughter, Hannah Claire Brogdon.

In his earlier years Troy worked for the J. H. Harvey Company as a meat market manager, farmed for many years and retired from Chaparral Boats. He was a member of Riverside Missionary Baptist Church. Those of you that knew him well know that he loved fishing, camping, traveling, and hunting. His greatest love was his family especially his devoted wife. Troy will also be missed by his special friend "Jack" (his Boston Terrier).

Active Pallbearers will include: Aaron Griner, Michael Spikes, Daniel Griner, Matt McCurdy, Sammy Watson, and Winston Brogdon.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday June 26, 2024 at 2 PM at the Riverside Missionary Baptist Church with Mr. Tommy Spikes and Rev. Kevin Stone officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
