Vinson Harper, 65, of Nashville, died Sunday April 23, 2023 at his residence.

He was born April 18, 1958 in Irwin County to the late Jesse Harper and the late Wilma Gunter Harper. He was a carpenter with Chapparal Boats, served in the United States Army and of the Baptist faith. He loved being outside, working with his hands and fruit trees. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Ben Harper and Riley Harper.

He is survived by his wife: Donna Hendley Harper of Nashville; 4 sisters: Mary Alice (Elbert) Starling of Nashville, Dorothy McClellan of Ray City, Ouida Ann Chaney of Nashville and Emma Jean Eldridge of Sparks; 2 brothers: Johnny Harper of Nashville and J.W. Harper of Nashville; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 26, 2023 at 4 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. R.T. Castleberry and Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
