Virgil Hickox's Obituary
Virgil Hickox, 71, of Nashville died Wednesday July 23, 2014 in Tift Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 30, 1942 in Homerville to the late George W. Hickox and the late Ruby Beverley. He was a retired lodge host with Shadow Oak Plantation and was associated with his wife in operation of the Landmark Gifts and Antiques. He was a member of the Nashville United Methodist Church and a former Alderman for the City of Nashville.
He is survived by his wife: Patricia "Patsy" Odum Hickox of Nashville; 2 daughters: Amy Fackler of Adel and Rebecca Jenkins of Nashville; brother: Robert M (Betty) Hickox of Savannah; 9 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Saturday July 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Nashville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bob Ellis, Rev. Felix Haynes and Rev. Michael Finn. Interment will follow in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Friday from 6-8 PM.
