Vivian Stone, 76, of Alapaha, died Friday November 28, 2014 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.
She was born March 12, 1938 in Atkinson County to the late Reford Rowe and the late Atwell Moore Rowe. She was a homemaker, retired accounts payable supervisor with the Berrien County Board of Education, and was employed with the Federal Teacher's Credit Union. She was a member of the Alapaha United Methodist Church where she served as the Adult Sunday School teacher. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Marvin, Maxwell, Robert, and Ronnie Rowe.
She is survived by her husband: Gene Stone of Alapaha; daughter: Rhonda Stone of Tifton; son: Randy (Tammy) Stone of Alapaha; sister: Mary Ola Nugent of Willacoochee; 2 brothers: Donnell (Linda) Rowe of Astatula, Fl and Harris (Pat) Rowe of Tifton; 4 grandchildren: Ryan, Taylor, Patrick, and Will.
Funeral services will be held Monday December 1, 2014 at 11 AM in the Alapaha United Methodist Church with the Rev. Larry Hauser officiating. Interment will follow in the Fletcher Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 6 to 8 PM.
