Walter Laverne "Coochie" Kilpatrick, 74, of Nashville, died Sunday September 21, 2014 at his residence.
He was born January 28, 1940 in Laurel,MS to the late Marvin Roy Kilpatrick and the late Gladys Pinson Kilpatrick. He was a retired machine mechanic with Nashville Mills, of the Baptist faith and was an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife Velma Lott Kilpatrick of Nashville; 2 sons: James Walter (Kaylee) Kilpatrick of Piedmont, SC and Mikeal Roy (Jamie) Kilpatrick of White Oak; step son: Rob Brown of Willacoochee; 4 grandchildren: Joshua, Justin, Marie, and Stephen; 5 sisters: Etoil Williams of Alapaha , Lavenia Tallent of Douglas, Betty Thomas of Altoona, FL, Evelyn Whaley of Nashville, and Jeanette Purvis of Nashville; 2 brothers: Marvin Kilpatrick of Lake City, FL and Randy Kilpatrick of Lakeland, FL.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday September 24, 2014 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Garvie Nichols, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM.
