Walter Eugene "Walt" Peterson, Jr., 46, of Valdosta died Wednesday December 6, 2017 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.
He was born September 23, 1971 in Summerville to the late Walter Eugene Peterson and the late Doris Jean Rape Peterson. He was a technician with Mediacom in Valdosta and attended Knights Memorial Missionary Baptist Church and Forrest Park Church of Christ.
He is survived by 3 sons: Joey (Nora Jean) Peterson, Jacob Peterson and Jackson Peterson all of Nashville; the mother of his children: Lisa Peterson of Nashville; 2 sisters: Norma Peterson and Nancy (Curtis Gill) Price both of Ray City; 3 brothers: Jeff (Edna Lopez) Peterson of Ray City, John (Lisa) Peterson of Rome and Joey (Tracey) Peterson of Fitzgerald; 1 granddaughter: Cassidy Peterson of Nashville; 6 nieces and 4 nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday December 10, 2017 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Spikes and Rev. Phillip Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation is Saturday 7-9 PM. The family will be at the home of Don & Betty McKinnon at 3731 Hwy 76 E Nashville.
