Wayman Lamar Giddens, 63, of West Berrien, died Friday, April 17, 2026, at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare.
He was born December 14, 1962, in Tifton, Ga to the late Julian Lamar Giddens and the late Jacquline Lisenby Giddens. He was a carpenter with Giddens Construction, worked at Freedom Trailer in Willacoochee and was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He loved his family, hard worker, cruising and traveling to the mountains. He was the widow of Victoria Elizabeth (Vickey) Gray Giddens who died in 2020 and he was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law: Amanda Giddens.
He is survived by a daughter: Tara (Mike) Lee of Nashville; son: Brandon (Dana) Giddens of Nashville; 3 grandchildren: Grayson Lee, Tinsley Grace Giddens and Lawson Giddens; 2 brothers: Ed Giddens of West Berrien and Marlon (Debbie) Giddens of Sparks; 2 sisters-in-law: Lynn Gray of Alapaha and Susie Steverson of Alapaha; special dog: Coco; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 24, 2026, at 11 AM in the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the church one hour prior to the time of service.
