Wayne Hendley, 67, of Nashville, died Monday September 25, 2023 at his residence.

He was born August 24, 1956 in Hahira, GA to the late David Clifton Hendley and the late Sarah Katherine Gray Hendley. He was a dedicated farmer for 45 years, avid arrowhead collector, loving father, "Big Daddy" and a member of Riverside Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Katie Elizabeth Hendley; sister: Janice Hendley; brother: David Hendley.

He is survived by his wife: Carol Close Hendley of Nashville; daughter: Leslie (Buster) Montgomery of Nashville; son: Lance (Caroline) Hendley of Nashville; 4 grandchildren: Dallas Montgomery, Eli Montgomery, Reese Hendley and Beau Hendley.

Funeral services will be held Thursday September 28, 2023 at 11 AM in the Riverside Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Robbie Rowe officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverside cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the service in the church.
