Wendell Raymond Connell, 87, of Nashville, died Tuesday June 19, 2018 at his residence.

He was born November 1, 1930 in Berrien County to the late William Guy Connell and the late Evie Tyson Connell.  He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, retired from civil service and of the Baptist faith.  He was preceded in death by a brother: Chris Connell.

He is survived by his wife: Kitty Jean Barrs Connell of Nashville; son: Brian (Patricia) Connell of Gadsden, AL; brother:  Donnie (Linda) Connell of Tifton; granddaughter: Anna Elizabeth Connell of Gadsden, AL; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday June 23, 2018 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Danny Ray officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery.  Visitation is Saturday one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice.
