Obituary

Rev. Wilbur Dale Bullock, 86, of Nashville, passed away Thursday April 16, 2020 at Berrien Nursing Center in Nashville, Georgia.

He was born September 23, 1933 in Warrick County, Indiana, to Israel Bullock and Margaret Perigo Bullock. He spent his younger years on a small family farm in Warrick County. He graduated from Boonville High School and graduated from Evansville University. He answered his calling to be a minister of the gospel and enrolled in Union Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, Indiana. Early in his ministry he married Edith Bateman Bullock and they had three children. Throughout his 50 years of ministry he served several churches and parishes in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, and South Dakota. Wilbur enjoyed life to the fullest. Throughout his life he truly loved being outdoors, and was an avid fisherman, hunter, and gardener. Some of his other interests were reading, and writing poetry. He was extremely outgoing and never met a stranger. He truly enjoyed getting together with his buddies at the local coffee shop to chat and catch up. Later in life he married Kristine Bullock and they had one daughter. After his retirement in South Dakota, he and his wife embarked on a new adventure when they moved to Alaska.  This allowed them to be close to their family and spend time spoiling their grandchildren. After four amazing years in Alaska, they moved to Georgia in order to remain close to family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Gregory Bullock, and an infant daughter.

He is survived by his wife Kris Bullock of Nashville, Georgia; 2 daughters: Bonnie Worrick and her husband Andy of Nashville, and Deborah Bullock of Washington C.H., Ohio; 2 grandchildren: Ian Worrick and Madilyn Worrick of Nashville; sister: Marilyn Wilson of Greenville, Illinois., and a niece Beth Rainey also of Greenville, Illinois.

In accordance with the current health guidelines, there will be a private memorial service for the family, and at a later date, a celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Berrien Nursing Center in Nashville, Georgia.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff at Berrien Nursing Center for all of their love and care for Wilbur over the past couple years.
