William Gary "Bill" Bailey, 79, of Nashville died Tuesday February 19, 2013 in the South Georgia Medical Center.

He was born October 6, 1933 in Brooks County to the late Seaborn Edward Bailey and the late Inez Dampier. He was a retired Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force, served in the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the VFW. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

He is survived by his wife: Carolyn Hughes Bailey of Nashville; daughter: Tammy Nelson of Tifton; 2 sons: Gary Bailey of Tifton and Larry Bailey of Holliday, FL; 4 sisters: Edna LaVann Story of Waycross, Donna Shiver of Tifton, Mary Mixon of Manor, and Barbara Moore of Manor; 4 brothers: Johnny Bailey of Waycross, Aaron Wesley Bailey of Waynesville, Ronald Bailey of Boaz, AL, and Bruce Bailey of Waycross; 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday February 21, 2013 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation is Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM.
