William Lucious "Bill" Tyson, 96, of Tifton, died Saturday January 16, 2016 at his residence.
He was born July 1, 1919 in Berrien County to the late John Tillman Tyson and the late Winnie Hendley Tyson. He was a retired Chief Warrant Officer United States Army with combat in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of Vickers Church.

He is survived by his wife: Janice Peters Tyson of Tifton; 3 sons: John Tyson of New York, William Lucious Tyson, Jr of Alabama and Phillip Timothy Earl Tyson of Florida; step son: Jamie Mathis of Enigma; step daughter: Kelly Davis of Tifton; 9 grandchildren; 2 nieces: Alma Connell of Tifton and Danette Lister of Warner Robins.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 19, 2016 at 3 PM in Vickers Church with the Rev. Ronnie Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in the Vickers Church Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation is Monday from 6 to 8 PM.
