William Monty "Billy" Creech, Jr., 90, of Ray City died Wednesday December 4, 2019 at Langdale Hospice House.

He was born January 30, 1929 in Berrien County to the late William Monty Creech and the late Daisy Morrison Creech.  He was a self-employed brick mason,  veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in WWII, and a member of Ray City United Methodist Church.  He had a tremendous love for his family, church and community.  He was preceded in death by his wife: Dorothy Keeffe Creech who died in 1992; three sisters and a brother.

He is survived by two daughters: Judy (Gary) Hatcher of Nashville and Margaret (Mark) Strickland of Cleveland, TN; three grandchildren: Sheila (John) Mathis of Cleveland, TN, Heather (Doug) Graham of Cleveland, TN and Todd Hatcher of Jones Creek; five great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two nieces and two nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday December 7, 2019 at 11 AM in the Ray City United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Bridges and Rev. Wayne Mitchell officiating.  Interment will follow in Beaver Dam Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Friday 6-8 PM.
