William Claude "Bill" Kenney, 65, of Lakeland died Tuesday May 10, 2011 at his residence.

He was born November 9, 1945 in Fulton County to the late Harvey Gordon Kenney, Sr. and the late Mable Rosemont Wilson. He was a retired Chief Petty Officer US Navy with 20 years of service and a member of the Ray City Church of God.

He is survived by his wife: Margaret Janice Kelly Kenney of Lakeland; son: William Terrell Kenney of Lakeland; daughter: Mary Jane Kelton of Valdosta; 2 step daughters: Gwenda Robin Broadway of Lakeland and Laurie ReJean Dunlap of Huntsville, Al; 5 step sons: Renick Alan Carney of Seattle Wa, Randy Todd Carney of Hurley, Ms, Richard Lane Carney of Lakeland, Ronald Wane Carney of Mobile, Al, and Bobby Reed Carney of Indianapolis, In; brother: Gordon Kenney, Jr of Gallatin, Tn; 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday May 14, 2011 at 10 AM in the Mud Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Dennis Rowland officiating and full military honors. Visitation is Friday from 6 to 8 PM.
