William Floyd Herring, 65, of Nashville died Tuesday June 20, 2017 at his residence.
He was born December 19, 1951 in Lowndes County to Ferrell Johnson Herring and the late Myrtle Wilkerson Herring. He was employed for 17 years with Chaparral Boats as a chopper gun operator, owned and operated Willie and Co Lawn Service and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife: Cynthia Jones Herring of Nashville; 2 sons: David (Brenda) Herring and Scott (Christine) Herring both of Nashville; father: Ferrell Herring of Ray City; 2 brothers: Roger Herring and Randall Herring both of Ray City; granddaughter: Allison Herring; step grandson: Bill Ashley; and a special friend: Bill Farr of Dawsonville.
Funeral services will be held Thursday June 22, 2017 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with Pastor Raymond Cason and Rev. Johnny Smith officiating. Interment will follow in New Ramah Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM.
