Rev. William Laran Martin, 69, of Nashville died Sunday April 13, 2014 in Tift Regional Medical Center.

He was born September 26, 1944 in Dade County FL to the late William Julius Martin and the late Ora Bell Harnage. He was retired from Queen Carpet in Tifton from maintenance and Larkin Coil in Tifton. He was a pastor for over 20 years in the Holiness Baptist Denomination and a member of The Cross Church.

He is survived by his wife: Marilyn Moore Martin of Nashville; a daughter: Andi (Bryan) Alexander of Nashville; a son: Rev. Chris (Kristie) Martin of Nashville; 4 grandchildren: Autumn Martin, Madisyn Alexander, Ashton Martin, and Kirsten Martin; father-in-law and mother -in-law: Rev. James and Frances Moore of Willacoochee.

Funeral services will be held Thursday April 17, 2014 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Donnie Sloan and the Rev. Tracy Swanson officiating. Interment will follow in Nashville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Wednesday night from 7 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The Cross Church.
