Obituary

Winnie Foye Rowan, 92, of Nashville died Tuesday September 22, 2015 in the Berrien Nursing Center.

She was born November 6, 1922 in Berrien County to the late Thomas Young and the late Gertrude Lillian Jones. She was a homemaker, a seamstress with Levi Strauss Company and a member of New River Free Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Louie Royal and Lawton Rowan; son: L. B. Royal, Jr.; 4 sisters and 3 brothers.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Debbie (George) Lee of Nashville and Fran (Bill) Jackson of Tifton; 2 sons: Gruver (Billie Ruth) Royal of Grayson and Virgil (Leah) Royal of Carson City, NV; 1 brother: Roy Young of Tifton; 8 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday September 26, 2015 at 2:00 PM in New River Free Holiness Church with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey and Mr. Joe Simpson officiating. Interment will follow in New River Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials are requested to the United Methodist Children's Home, 2545 E. Park Ave. Valdosta, Ga. 31605
