Obituary

Winona Griffin Hendley, 83, of Nashville died Wednesday January 15, 2014.

She was born October 16, 1930 in Berrien County to the late Owen Carter Griffin and the late Alma Jeanes. She was homemaker and a retired from the Bank of Alapaha serving as Vice President and secretary. She was the widow of Elison Hendley who died in 2004 and a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Horace, Eston, and W.E. Griffin.

She is survived by a sister: Nina Carter of Waycross; several nieces, nephews, and extended family who truly loved her.

Funeral services will be held Saturday January 18, 2014 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. Mickey Lindsey officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9 AM until hour of services.
