Obituary

Wylene Skinner, 90, of Nashville, died Monday, August 17, 2026, at her residence.

She was born August 1, 1936, in Berrien County to the late Burnice Jordan and the late Lillie Velma Kent Jordan. She was a retired machinist with the former Nashville Mills and operated a day care for years. She was a member of Poplar Springs Missionary Baptist Church and the widow of J.S. Skinner who died in 2007 and a daughter: Effie Brighton.

She is survived by 2 daughters: Debbie Harris of Nashville and Teresa Clanton of Nashville; 3 sons: Larry Clanton of Elkton, FL, Curtis Clanton of Lake City, FL and David Clanton of Nashville; step son: Donnie Skinner of Hinesville; 13 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 11 AM in the Chapel of Lovein Funeral Home with the Rev. J.W. Dukes III and Rev. Ronnie Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in the Empire cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday, in the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
